By Anonymous Columbus, OH March 20 2004--Sadoun Satellite Sales, a dealer and wholesaler of consumer satellite products has agreed to begin distributing Sat Control Horizon to Horizon satellite dish motor mounts in U.S.
Sat Control satellite dish motors have been available in Europe and other overseas markets since 1991. These motors are used for rotating the satellite antenna to track the satellite in their geo-stationary orbit. To convert a fixed dish to become motorised simply remove the dish from the existing vertical pole, fit the motor and replace your dish on to the motor arm. Most digital receivers have built in Disecq 1.2,"go to X" (DiSEqC 1.3), or USALS which means that they will provide instructions to operate the Horizon-Horizon motor mount. The H-H mounts will accept the instructions from the digital receiver to move left or right. No additional cables are required and the H-H mount will accept dish sizes up to 1.2m diameter. The dish and motor will need to be pointed South, from this starting position the motor will move East and West to locate the majority of satellites.
Beneath the mount are two controls (Left & Right) this will assist in moving the dish to locate the correct arc of the satellites. The unit is supplied complete with rear brackets for mounting on to a pole and a helpful instructions booklet.
“We are very excited to be adding to our existing line of satellite products by adding the SAT Control CE approved DiSEqC HH motors.” says Jamal Sadoun, the owner of Sadoun Satellite Sales. “Our customers have not only come to expect top-quality service, but top-quality products. Sat Control has an excellent reputation in Europe that’s in keeping with the name we have built for ourselves.”
Satellite dealers in the U.S. should contact Sadoun Satellite Sales for information on special volume discounts and wholesale prices.

SATELLITE 2003 is the only dedicated conference and exhibition aimed at the rapidly changing business of communications via satellite. SATELLITE 2003 will be held Feb. 25-28, 2003, at the Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C.
With full conference registration, you will gain access to six tracks of business sessions designed to meet your unique business needs; access to the exhibit hall for the length of the show; the heavily-attended Via Satellite magazine Satellite Executive of the Year Luncheon; and access to the world’s top satellite executives.
The global communications satellite industry continues to face challenges. In response, the industry is reaching out to new markets--including Latin America and the Pacific-Rim region--with innovative applications and services (digital radio services and traditional C- and Ku-band bent-pipe offerings). Whether it's business-to-business or consumer-driven applications, the satellite industry is leading the way in two-way, interactive video and data streaming, Internet caching and other value-added services. Additionally, commercial satellite operators continue to play an increased role in military satcoms and the global war on terror.
Among the groups supporting SATELLITE 2003 are the Satellite Industry Association (SIA), the Global VSAT Forum (GVF), the World Teleport Association (WTA), the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI), the Washington Space Business Roundtable (WSBR), the Economic Development Commission of Florida (EDC) and the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC).
And, for the first time, we have joined forces with Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif.-based The Carmel Group (TCG) on our “Satellite Finance & New Services Forecast 2003” pre-conference and we are working with Golden, Colo.-based Media Business Corp. (MBC) to produce two General Sessions on the final day of the show aimed at providing business strategies both for buyers and sellers of commercial satellite services.
"This conference and exhibition continues to be the place where the global, commercial satellite industry gathers annually to discuss how worldwide economic issues continue to impact the business,” said SATELLITE 2003 conference Chairman David Bross. "This year’s conference will focus on vendor-customer relations, proven satcom services, the role that satellites are playing with the military in the war against terrorism, and profits in a down global economy."
This year’s show features an impressive lineup of 37 panel sessions and seminars including sessions focusing on: the military’s use of commercial satellites, satellite manufacturing, CEO roundtable, DARS, satellite supply and demand forecasts, regional looks at Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and enterprise and commercial sure-shot satellite bets!
SATELLITE 2003 also will feature an exhibition hall with more than 425 booths, showcasing an impressive array of products and services. Among the companies exhibiting are: Alcatel Space, the Boeing Co., Eutelsat, Hughes Global Services, Intelsat, International Launch Services Inc. (ILS), Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, Microspace, MITEQ/MCL, New Skies Satellites, Sea Launch and SES Global.
In addition to the main conference three-day program, five convenient one-day pre-conference programs also are offered: “Satellite Finance & New Services Forecast 2003;” “Communications Via Satellite: The Basics;” “IP Networking Over Satellite: Internet, Intranets and Content Delivery;” “Space Business Facts and Fantasies 2003;” and a FREE program from Florida’s Economic Development Commission.
